    Chinese open/closed loop steppers

    Help!

I'm seeking for your opinion. I'm doing BF30 CNC conversion and deciding whether to get this open loop steppers:
    External EBAY LINK

Or should i buy 2x8NM + 1x12NM closed loop steppers and drivers and power supply for them...
    External EBAY LINK

I would like to know if closed loop system is worth 2x the cost and your opinion on this chinese stuff. Anyone got any idea if they are working as they should?

    Thank you so much!
    Best regards,
    Jure

I think the larger the mill and more complex the part, the more justified your decision is for using a closed loop system. I got an industrial servo set with motors and controllers run from an Acorn. If I had to do it again, I would have used clearpath motors, but only for cost.
