    Micromill CNC and M03

    Guys,
I would like to turn on/off my Central Machinery Micro Mill spindle using M03, M05 but the spindle speed needs to be ramped up from zero using a pot.
I am thinking of connecting the pot to a small stepper motor and controlling it with the software, unless there is a simple electronic solution?
    Thanks, Terry.
PS I'm still using Turbocnc, it works for me.

    Re: Micromill CNC and M03

I have just go my spindle ramping up from zero by removing the red pot knob and connecting a size 17 stepper motor to the shaft. This is now my 5th axis (angular) and can be controlled from within the programme.
Making small plastic production part that take 1.5 minutes to complete and having to manually twiddling the knob was a pain.
