Hi I'm really interested in how you wired this. I'm not super knowledgeable on electronics but I want to make a nice enclosure for a g540 with one switch.

    Hi,
If you are looking for ideas on a nice case, this is how I layout the back panel for the controllers I built and sell. They can be fitted for the UC400ETH as in this case or the Warp9td Ethernet SmoothStepper, Mesacard 7i92.

    Cheers

    Hi,
This was a very straight forward wiring setup.....
    From the AC-In receptacle..
The hot line was routed to the face panel fuse holder.
Then the Hot and Neutral lines were wired to the main Power rocker switch
From the switch the Hot and Neutral lines each was wired to a Screw down style Bus Bar

Now from the bus bars, I ran lines to the 2 small(5Vdc & 12Vdc)pwr supplies.
Next I ran Hot and Neutral line into a relay. This relay is being controlled by the Emergency Power Down button!!!
From the relay, the Hot and Neutral line are run to the 48Vdc main pwr supply and the Power outlet going to the Spindle motor!
This translate, if the Emergency Cutoff switch is pushed, the Power going to the Gecko controller and Spindle are the only ones that are shut down!!
So the Smoothstepper is still able to communicate!!!

    Oops I forget to mention....
All grounding from the AC Input, Output, to All Power supplies, and controls..
They connected to a single Point in the chassis!
To eliminate the Possibility of Ground Loops!!
