"RUN FROM HERE" Z- Axis goes to Limit switch???????

I have been running Mach 3 for years and sometimes I need to stop during a cut process or may get a false Limit trip. So I will deal with my issue and use the "RUN FROM HERE" feature and away I go! So sometimes I have had the issue when using this feature and I hit "Cycle Start" the "Z"- Axis for reasons I do not understand will travel up to Max travel and hit the Limit switch. Can someone tell me why this is happening and how to stop this?

    Thanks

In my experience, stopping and resuming a program in Mach3 is pretty much playing Russian roulette. Most of the time it works, but sometimes it just blows its brains out.

It might have something to do with your Safe Z settings.

That's my experience as well. I did it a hand full of times the other night, on the last try the table when the wrong way at restart and hit the Y axis limit. The first few times it went well.

It has never worked for me. I don't try it now.

It's worked fine for me every time I've ever used it.
Might be an ESS issue, as I use the parallel port.

Thats one of the reasons I switched to Mach4, 3 has those little quirks. Its Not Warp9 ESS as it does great on 4.

Just because it works in Mach4 does not mean it works in Mach3. Two different programs, with different plugins and firmware for each.
