Need help - wiring PlanetCNC Mk3/4 with 1.5kw VFD

I'm setting up a Routakit with a 1.5kw VFD, running the PlanetCNC Mk3/4 controller, but I'm not certain how to wire it so I can control the spindle from my program (On/Off and spindle speed).

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

It depends on your VFD and hardware & software. Simplest id If you have a Huanyang VFD there is a free plugin for Mach 3 or UCCNC. If that's the case a cheap USB to RS485 (less than $10) converter and 2 wires will control the spindle for you. If not then it depends on your hardware/breakout board. Analog PWM control may be an option if your board has the required outputs. Another option depends on your VFD. If it has the optional MODBUS the spinddle can be controlled using the MODBUS connections.
