    88HS Firmware Versions and Differences

    I have a 1997 VMC15XT with a 1400-5 CPU. I also have a 97.3 0159 system board (firmware).

I am trying to use the O(1) = 1 etc type input output macros to control the 1040-2A mill interface board but I only return errors. I found one other thread by a user who had a similar problem and was on a 1400-4 setup with a 96.1 B43 firmware card. His problem was resolved by updating the firmware to 101.5.

    This makes me wonder:

-Does anyone know the version history of the 88HS firmware?
-What differences are there between 96.1, 97.3, 101.5 and the latest 103.5 firmware?
-If I purchase a 103.5 PCB-0159 card and swap it into my machine will I need to do anything else or its it "plug and play"? (with the exception of SETP of course).

If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Did you find anything out? Same thing here. I want to use the macro arrays I(x) and O(x).
