    Recommendations for milling bakelite

    Hi guys,

newbie here with some questions regarding milling parts out of bakelite - we have parts with relatively simple geometry we have to mill out of 10mm and 15mm thick bakelite and need to get end mills for that.
Apologies if that question was asked before, I was searching the forum but found little on that question.

For those that have worked with the material before, what type of end mills would you recommend? What RPM and feed rate?
From what I found on the forum, the hardness of phenolic material seems to dull the bits relatively fast - any experiences on that with bakelite / paper-based phenolic materials (no glass fibre, as I understand it) ?

    Thanks,
    Andy
