Hi,

I am forwarding a question posed by a client who has a bit of difficulty posting in English and who has a problem with thread milling.
He needs to mill M1 threads with a special thread mill (expensive), the core diameter of the thread is 0.76mm, the mill cutter OD is 0.73mm.
Given the tiny margin between the pilot hole size and the cutter diameter, the mill cutter needs to enter and exit at the exact center of the pilot hole or it will contact the wall and break; something which he cannot get to work no matter what settings he tries.
He also needs to be able to cut the thread with multiple passes, thus it needs to go back to center on all entries/exits on all passes. The threads are only 2mm deep.
He would like to know how this can be done in RhinoCAM/VisualMill; and, if it is currently impossible, when it might be fixed. Right now he says he is obligated to use another CAM program to do the thread milling on the part, all the rest of which is done in RhinoCAM.

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
