Hey Guys,
I've got a problem with my Fanuc Series Oi-MB MPG Handle's output. When I try to move the X- or Y-axis with the MPG that axis starts to move as expected, but then the Z-axis also moves but it's not even selected. The movement seems to be inconsistent - when I turn the MPG the selected axis moves constant, but then the Z-axis moves interrupted (moves, stops, then moves again)
When I select only the Z-axis and rotate the MPG, then the Z-axis's movements are constant and no other axis moves along with it. Also when I first start up the machine, the X, Y and Z axes lights are blinking. The same happens when I select the Handle button, after I select an axis - that axis light stays on but the other remaining axes lights still blink - is this normal or should the machine be referenced first ? I can't seem to "Reference Return" any of the axes, it' gives an alarm 090 "Reference Return Incomplete"
My machine is an old Chiron FZ18W (absolute encoders), it has a few faults which I'm trying to fix and restore it to it's former glory - I would really appreciate any assistance. I'm still a bit of a Fanuc noob, and any help would mean the world to me.
Thank you.
Regards,
