NPT to NPS threading help HAAS ST20Y!

    Hello All,

I've got a 316 stainless part calling for a 3/4" NPT to NPS thread. I have attached a clip of the drawing. I am completely stumped! I Don't believe that I can run a tapered G92/G76 in conjunction with a straight code of the same value. In my opinion the threads will not match up due to the longer distance on the taper. Any help/input would be helpful.

I think what you want is a G32 cycle. It can do changing angles like that (taper to straight, etc).

From the Haas online manual: "G32 differs from other thread cutting cycles in that taper and/or lead can vary continuouslythroughout the entire thread. In addition, no automatic position return is performed at theend of the threading operation."

    Hope that helps.

Thank you so very much. I have pulled up G32 on the HAAS DIY page and am studying it right now.
