Hi there

I'm trying to to do a profile cut with a 4 axis plasma tube cutter on a square tube as the photo shows below. For some reason when I do a wrap around x it works in a circular shape and will cause the torch to touch the corners of the square tube. How can I go about this without needing to machine it on the mill. I will basically need it to follow the shape of the stock but only on the profile line.

Hi deon,

The "Wrap" function is strictly for cylindrical shaped cuts. On a plasma and according to your picture, I would rotate the square tubing up or down 90° and use a simple U shape "Profile" cut to achieve the cut. If you are looking to rotate simultaneous while cutting the tube and if your machine even has that capability, you would need to use full 4 Axis Simultaneous which is found under the option "5 Axis".
