    Huanyang 2.2kw Inverter and 2.2kw 220v spindle

    Just got this wired up from a hired electrician. I am having issues with it shutting down and throwing an error code. It only comes on for a few seconds then says the error code. Also when I unplug the VFD it forgets the parameters I input such as pd005=400HZ will I have to do this everytime I unplug/plug it in as I share it with the only 220 plug in the house which I share with my dryer unit.

    Thanks
    Jason

    You have to save each time you enter a Parameter, you get an error code because you have not set enough parameters, do not try to run until all the parameters have been set

    How has it been wired this is important post some photos

    U V W

    U= Pin 1

    V= Pin 2

    W= Pin 3

    I just inspected this cable. U= pin 1
    v= pin 2
    w= pin 3
    and earth or ground is connected to pin 4. I have set all the parameters according to the spindle and some in the manual. about 15 or so parameters so far. The spindle seems to sputter out at around 100 rpm and stop when I try to increase the speed I can hear the motor trying to ramp up but the spindle stops. with spindle running I can physically hold it at a stop with little in any force.

    VFD Basic Parameter set:
    PD001 = 0 (1 for external control)
    PD002 = 0
    PD003 = 400
    PD004 = 400
    PD005 = 400
    PD072= 400
    PD070 =1
    PD141 = 220V ( check the spindle rate)
    PD142 = 11.0
    PD144 = 1440 ( Max= 3000 (Max hz of VFD * X /50hz = Rated motor RPM))

    Some what he has posted are incorrect

    Here is the correct Parameters

    Huanyang Mactec54
    2.2Kw 220v

    PD000=0 for Parameter unlock ( 1 ) for Parameter Lock

    PD001=0 (1 For Remote Control)

    PD002=0 ( 1 For 0-10v Terminal Control or Remote Trim Pot Control )
    ( J1 Also Needs to be set for Terminal Control )

    PD003=400

    PD004=400

    PD005=400

    PD006=15

    PD007=20

    PD008=220 (Motor Rated Voltage )

    PD009=15

    PD010=8

    PD011=100 ( 100 Minimum Setting with Quality VFD, 120 is Safe)

    PD13= 08 is for Factory reset, Only use this to set VFD to Factory Default Settings

    PD014 Acceleration=10 ( Adjust to suit)

    PD015 Deceleration=10 (Adjust to suit) ( PD15 is ignored IF PD26=1 Then the Spindle will Coast to a Stop)

    PD023=0 ( Forward Run Only )

    PD041=8 ( Carrier Frequency up to 10 Max for these Spindle motors)

    PD120=120 ( Stall Prevention )

    PD141=220 ( Motor Rated Voltage )

    PD142=9 ( Motor Max Amps 2.2Kw Spindle 9 amp )

    PD143=2 ( Motor Number of Poles)

    PD144=3000 (Max Motor RPM) =3,000= (24,000)

    PD70=0 ( This may need to be set to 1 if Control Voltage is 0-5v )

    PD72=400

    PD73=100 ( 100 Minimum RPM Setting 120 is Safe )

    PD174=??? ( To Be Set to the VFD Drives Max Rated Amps )

    Check that you have continuity Between Ground Pin 4 and the Spindle Body, most do not and this has to be corrected

    Use the Parameters I Posted, most others are incorrect, Don't run your spindle until you have these Parameters set or you will cause damage to your Spindle or VFD Drive

    I am not an electrical engineer or anything. I put my multi-tester red lead on the earth ground inside the vfd and the black lead on the spindle body I am getting a very small movement when attached to the spindle body but I am getting something ?

    If I would have known its this much of a hassle and headache I would have bought one all ready to run with parameters all installed. This is a bunch of BS to have to go through all this just to get the router to work.

    It's not very much at all, just watch a video on how to do the Parameter's, and then set yours with what I posted

    A lot of the machines that supposed to run quite often you have to do the same thing and can be worse than what this is, as other VFD Drives are not as easy to do

    Ok after further research and testing. The error code Eoca is an over current error. Now the videos I have seen people will get the very same error. But when they disconnect the cable from the spindle and retry it they don't have an issue. I have been getting error code but havent tried to unplug it from the spindle yet to see if I am having the same issue. I have seen the chinese don't hook up the ground or earth wire. Not sure that will make a difference but im going to try it to see if it makes any difference.
