    welder wire feeder

Hello, I was hoping someone could give me some feedback on whether or not it would be necessary to insulate the shaft of a stepper/servo being used as a wire feed for a high frequency pilot Arc start plasma arc welder. I'm concerned about the high frequency high voltage arcing across the rotor and stator and frying out the drive.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello there,
    You should insulate the shaft!
Leaving it without insulation leaves you at risk of electric shocks or worse still electrocution. Please do insulate it
