hello i have to deliver a hex27 on lb3000ex2

please, i need help to configure this :
... left or right tools ? i guess left, so to avoid having chips on the part, but all chips to fall down
... smaller or bigger tool ? ph horn has from o40 to o100; i believe that a bigger tool will deliver the hex with less deviations, but cutting force will be greater
... 2 or 3 inserts ? there is a recomandation about 3 inserts being better for a hex ( attached )


please, how to compute the shape deviations ?


i don't have flat turning option ... should i consider buying hobbing ? what is the difference between hobbing and flat-turning ? from the controller perspective, not the tooling : for example, i believe that hobbing delivers any sync ratio, while flat turning is limited to 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 to 1:6; are there other differences ?

i wait the quote for both functions

also i was said that i can "flat turn" without having the function installed, as long as i won't re-cut the same part + enough clearance + avoid some ignore codes

hello, a flat turn insert is 33-39 euro; please, is it possible to use a common type of insert ?

also, is it possible to flat turn, by using a tool perpendicular to Z axis ? kindly
