Depends what it's starting at and what mode you're in. If you're in incremental mode or start at A 000 on the DRO in absolute mode, G00 A360 should spin one revolution.
If it's not, then you need to modify the axis settings for A to change the steps per unit setting until you get exactly one revolution.
How have you calibrated A? By actually measuring a full revolution or by calculating it based on number of steps per revolution on the stepper, multiplying by any ratio of reduction pulley or gearbox etc? And, if the latter, did you take into account the microstepping multiplier?
If you have a tool height probe set up on your machine, you can put a bit of spring wire in the chuck jutting out sideways, do a G31 A360 until it touches, set zero, then G00 A*** to get past the probe, then do another G31 A360 until it touches again. At this point, multiply the steps per unit by 360.0 / (whatever the A DRO says) and you should be durned close.
I just printed this degree wheel at about 2.5 inches Clymer Degree Wheel cut it out with a hole in the middle and stuck it on the pulley. then grabbed whatever was close to set a wire to lay there pointing at a mark on the wheel. Did the same thing as the end of dharmics post for 360.
Then repeated the process for 720, then 7200, then 14,400. Might not be dead on but looking dead on over 40 turns was close enough for me
If youve got the little 2:1 reduction belt type rotary axis on your 3040 then your steps per unit are probably going to wind up somewhere around 8.88xxxxx
