    5V Question

    Where does the driver get it's 5v power from, the controller board, or do I need a separate 5v power supply, thanx!

    I assume you are talking about a motor driver. If the 5V is required for supplying the driver, I recommend using a separate 5V supply, but it can be from the same power supply (not passing through a controller)
