Post How Beautiful the Art of Craftsmanship with CNC Engraving Machine

With the development of CNC engraving machine industry, the market puts higher demands on CNC engraving machine manufacturers. The market segmentation of the engraving and processing industry has become increasingly mature. CNC engraving meets the needs of large-scale production, and the operation interface is also more concise.
CNC engraving is a 2D or 3D surface used to engrave a product and it is a high quality and repeatable precision process. Suitable for cutting on various flat materials, 2D engraving, 3D engraving. Whether it is the production of bronze, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum and other metal surface lettering, engraving and art graphic crafts, etc., can be easily done. Thanks to the powerful engraving function of the machine, it can be processed from large-format signs to tiny badges and nameplates. The popularity of CNC engraving has gradually replaced traditional hand chisel engraving and scaler engraving. In addition, the use of different colors and materials with CNC engraving technology can quickly improve the detailed expression of product design.
Process cost: mold cost (none), single piece cost (middle)
Typical products: surface treatment of control panels, knives, dies and trophy nameplates
Yield is suitable: single to medium batch
    Quality: extremely high
Speed: medium production speed, depending on the engraving size and complexity of the finished product
Almost all materials can be CNC cut, such as plastic, foam, wood, metal, stone, glass, ceramics and polymers. However, it is difficult to find a manufacturer that can engrave all of the above materials at the same time, because many powders are produced during the CNC engraving process, and the mixing of powders of different materials increases the instability and the possibility of explosion.
    First, design considerations
    1. The thickness of the material used for CNC engraving should be no less than 1mm (0.04in)
    2. Fixed points and marked annotations can be synchronized during the CNC engraving process, reducing time costs and increasing accuracy.
    3. The applicable workpiece size depends on the size of the CNC machine. Some factory machines can even accommodate the next complete vehicle, but standard CNC machines will not exceed 2m2.
    4. The CNC engraving of 4.3D is driven by CAD data files, and the 2D CNC engraving is driven by Illustrator files. When working with a manufacturer, you should first ask about the software version to prevent file incompatibility. The older the software version, the lower the risk of incompatibility. For example, the new version of Solidworks software can open the old version file. The opposite is not feasible.
    5. CNC engraving is most commonly used for text engraving on the surface of a product or on a nameplate. Therefore, when a designer provides a text pattern, the text should be vectorized (transferred) in Illustrator to prevent the manufacturer from having the same font and being used by others. The font is automatically replaced, which affects the finished product.
    Second, the process cost
    1. Mold cost: no
    2. Time cost: medium, depending on engraving size and complexity
    3. Labor cost: very low, the whole process is automated, basically no manual operation
    Third, the environmental impact
Scraps generated by CNC engraving are generally not reused and discarded directly.
