power supply and TB6600 motor drivers

I have two transformers 24volt ac sec.output that I added a bridge diodes to out put about 65 volts dc,I coupled dont remember the capacitors sizes right off.but have them running three Gecos 202 I think and they run great. wanted to split the transformers to build another power supply but with less out put voltage (about 36 volt dc). My Question is this will the TB6600 stepper motor driver handle this type of power supply or does it need a better regulated supply. They are rate at 40 volts, but do they need a special regulation on them (as cheap as they are might have to order one and hook it up and see)

Unregulated power supply should work fine, as long as its output does not exceed the recommended maximum voltage (42V according to the TB6600 datasheet).

Thank you Im going to try that, with one and use a nema 17 stepper motor,I could use a 24 volt ac transformer from and old furnace that controls the thermostat, put a bridge rectifer on it and a few capacators to control ripple and see what happens...
