Post What is the relationship between laser welding machine power and various parameters?

There are many laser welding machine parameters, in addition to the parameters, the power is also very important in the laser welding machine, then the laser welding machine power and the parameters have any relationship?

With regard to the relationship between laser welding machine power and various parameters, the following will be explained by perfect laser technicians:

Laser average power: The actual output laser power is approximately equal to 2-3% of the average injected power.
The Pulse width: the time of a single pulse.

The Pulse frequency: The number of laser pulse repetitions per second.

The Laser Peak Power: Instantaneous power of the laser at the actual light output.

The laser peak power is equal to the average power divided by the duty cycle. It is generally several kilowatts in magnitude.

Laser pulse energy: refers to the energy output by a single pulse. It is determined by the capacity of the energy storage capacitor, voltage, and xenon lamp. This is an important index of the laser welding machine. When spot welding, the stability of the single point energy has great influence on the quality of the laser welding.

In each of the above top parameters, the average power of the laser welding machine is the most important. In terms of the pulsed laser, the average laser power is the size, and sufficient laser power is ensured before the other parameters can be used. In heat conduction welding, the laser operates in a pulsed state, so the pulse energy, pulse width, and laser repetition rate are important parameters. Of course, the laser focusing system, the design of the external light path, and the influence of the amount of defocus when welding are also important to note. The speed of welding or the weight of the light spot, and the repetition frequency of the laser pulse must also be properly matched.
