    DM2400 Gear Availability

Does anyone know if DM2400 replacement gears are available?

I plan to contact Dyna Mechatronics about replacement gears. I believe I ruined my Y axis gear during some tinkering with GRBL.

I am still getting things up and running as I don't yet have a method to interface the original controller, and I wanted to do a comparison of modern stepper drivers with the 1980's drivers.

    Any info would be helpful.

I was able to order replacement gears direct from Dyna Mechtronics a few years ago. I think I just used the email/phone # on their web site.

I emailed and had Dyna Mechtronics quote. They are still available. They are ~$90 a piece.

I discovered after talking to them that the gear I though was broken was okay. I plan to order a spare to keep in the cabinet for when they stop stocking the gears.

Take the gear drive out, it is the weak link. The steppers can drive that machine at reasonable speeds direct drive.
A lazy man does it twice.
