I think the r8 prolight 1000s had toolchangers before TTS even existed. does anybody know what they used originally?

    Re: iso20 vs TTS

So I was able to use a interesting pair of vise grips to grab onto the spindle and torque the drawbar. Sure enough I ran into some bad programming where there was severe chatter and stalling of the spindle. Absent was any sort of pull out or collet slip. The surface finish isn't as good as without the TTS, but I would call it acceptable. So I will be looking at a new solution for tightening the drawbar, and keep my TTS in service.
