    835 ALARM P

Hello, I have an Okuma M460V-5AX and it won't boot my system. I make the necessary backup, but it does not want to load, if anyone can help I would be grateful

You might need to check the cables and connection, it is communication error.

in my understanding the operating system is booted properly.
What I would do I would start with optical cables - disconnecting one of them makes no difference, means the one connection is faulty

A "P" level alarm is a critical warning that the starting up of the machine will damage it. It is like a car having a faulty oil pump, check oil pressure, if not correct, shut down.

It seems there is a comms fault with a device "mcs" that stops the boot-up sequence
Error manual may indicate what to look for.

I'm guessing here ... "mcs" might mean "master control system"
It could mean a HDD problem, lost parameters, card fault, or cable.
What OS is the machine ? (OSP, P,etc)

MCS= Motion Control System (motor, encoder, drive, etc)

    0835 MCS Communication
An error occurred during shake-hand communication with MCS.
    [Index]
    Axis name or none
    [Character-string]
Shake-hand communication error number (2 digits) and [command name]-[channel number]-net address (controller
    number)
    [Code]
Error data when an error occurred (Zero suppression is effective for upper figures in 8 digits) (Details differ according to the
    shake-hand communication error number.)
    [Probable Faulty Locations]
    1) Faulty software
    [Measures to Take]
    1) Change the software.

Do you have original DVD with software? with matching options? Go to windows only mode and try to re install it?
