Unhappy read/punch missing in fanuc oi mate td

im trying to upload a nc code with rs232 cable for the first time in my lathe 2-axis cnc with fanuc oi mate td control
i checked the parameters and they are set to 7-e-2 @ 2400 and i/0 channel at 0

now the problem is i can not prepare the control for receiving
i read that there should be a read/punch soft key in program mode but there is no such thing here

finput is not rs232, I think you are using the wrong channel.
ref above document drdos gave you

    parameter #20
and the associated parameters for the channel you use

DR stands for device ready. That means the Fanuc sees the device that you are using to upload your programs from. There are some handshaking required between the Fanuc and your device. I suspect you dan't have the correct cable. Be very careful because you risk loosing your serial port if your cable is wrong.
