Depends on the controller, can't help much without that information. Maybe connect to the coolant pump, spindle relay, some other realy that changes state at the end of the job? Maybe the controller has an output for a tower light, a relay that you can access and program with an M code?

Jim, the controller is a Washing WA-31DT I don't have a lot of information on it at the moment, and electronics are not my big point. The machine has a MD-300 VFD running the spindle if that helps

I guess you could connect the light to the VFD relay. That way when the spindle is stopped the light could come on. Terminals T/A, T/B, and T/C on the VFD. T/A is the common. Normally this relay default programming is to energize when the VFD (spindle) is running.

Jim thanks for that, I will get the VFD manual out on the weekend and see if I can that to work.
