Tool Changers for PCNC 1100 Series 3

First time post from a long time reader. Thanks to the "vast and unpaid research department" that makes up this forum.

I have an 1100 series 3 mill that I have been using for production for the last 3 years. I am considering adding a tool changer. While researching I noticed that there are two versions on Tormach's website for the series 3. One is the 10 tool unit, and the other is a newer 12 tool unit. Other than the number of slots, the only differences I have been able to ascertain is price $4200 vs $5050, and the shroud on the newer unit has a chamfer on the top of the shroud. Anyone have any experience with the newer unit and recommendations on one versus the other?

I have a 10 pocket one that i've been contemplating selling since I don't use it anymore. I used to use it when the mill was used for business but haven't used the atc in almost 2 years now, even when I did use it, i didn't have a whole lot of hours on it. If you're interested, shoot me a PM

Tormach told me there made a bunch of small improvements. The biggest was the increase in capacity and improved tool holding forks(1 pc vs 2 pc). They also said the new 1100M ATC is easier to install vs the old one.

Thanks for the reply. It took nearly a week, but I finally got someone at Tormach to call me back and they told me the same thing. Newer unit is supposedly a better design with better reliability.
