SOLIDCAM FIXTURE COLLISION (BETWEEN STOCK AND TOOL)

    Hello to everyone!

I just upgraded and using SolidCam2018...
On this version there is an option of ''fixture collision'' for protection.
In pocket operation fixture collision is disabled permanent.
In 3d iMachining operation its enabled at the beggining but as soon as i choose my tool, fixture collision is disabled again...
Is any solution you can give me??
Uploading an example video which shows the use of this option.

    Awaiting for any help!!

    Thank you.

Report the bug, they have had all kinds of bugs like that in the past, select one thing, another thing changes.

I tried SolidCAM for nearly 3 months and found every bug in their software. I finally scrapped it and got my money back. In my opinion it is untrustworthy software. As for that particular bug, is the clamp (fixture) defined as such all the way back to the individual part file?

What did you end up with? I too found a bunch of bugs, but I have yet to run CAM software without a ton of bugs in it.
The cool part is that they have been very responsive in fixing the bugs.

    Hi SteriosCNC,

Just checking but do you have a "Fixture and a Setup" defined first?

    Thank you,

    Hi,

You need to have your fixtures defined in the machine setup. I have attached a quick recording showing this.
