    ISEL stepper question

Still in the evaluation stage trying to figure out if I can get what I have working and the best way to go about it.
Once you have the housing off the steppers you have 10 wire coming out of mtr + a ground.
There are 8 wires that pair up to 4 pins in the connector. Does this indicate a 5 phase stepper?
Would I be better off just replacing these with a NEMA 34 midrange torque mtr?
    Thanks for any help

    Re: ISEL stepper question

Just you need these 8 wires that you mention.

in each pair dont use the white color wire and use another wire in that pair.

then you will have stepper with only 4 wires and you can connect it regularly.
