    Working with Fusion 360

I am new to Fusion 360 and I need some help to manipulate / organize data.

I've gotten DXF files twice in the past year (same company), that I can not deal with. Importing to OnShape or BobCad just produces 100's if not 1000's of lines to sort thru, lots of duplicates also. Fusion 360 gives me the best look at the data but I can't do much with it except measuring segments. The data is not separated, and that is the problem. The data is sheet metal, gussets and stand offs that will be welded together. I would like to separate the data into these three groups.

I was wondering if anyone could lend a hand and teach this old dog some new tricks. The file is to large to ship thru this site, contact me and I will email it to you.

    Thanks!

If they are 2D files, I'd probably use something other than Fusion 360. My guess is that the poor quality .dxf is just what they are sending you, and has nothing to do with the import.

These files are 3-D, and Fusion gives me the best look at it, but I can not do anything with it. I'll send a couple of pictures.

Sorry, forgot to identify the pictures in my last post.
    Top picture is fusion.
Bottom is BobCad. I'm guessing there are over 500 lines in the BobCad files.

You need to tell the people you are working with to send you something you can use. I doubt that any software can do anything with what you have.

    LOL, I have.

I was hoping someone could show me something obvious in Fusion that I was missing.

    Thanks for your help.
