    Hertz spindles from Turkey

Hi, i am going to order a spindle motor from this supplier soon. Just wondering if anyone in Australia would like to also order a unit. The shipping for 1-5 units is 150 euro(TNT express)....it makes sense to order more than one

Those prices are fairly cheap! I'm in the USA so I can't get into the buy party so best of luck with finding a partner.

I must ask are you ordering directly from the manufacture or a reseller?

I have had 2 of these and Both of them broke on me. I used them to cut aluminum and they couldn’t handle it.

I had an er20 model and er25. The er 25 actually spun the rotor on the shaft inside the motor. It was just press-fit on so it had no power after it spun. And the er 20 version worked for about 4 months then it finally just quit working. I think the windings burnt up but I’m not 100 percent sure. I switched to a used Colombo and never had another issue.

Do not worry, I have been used Herz spindle three years for now. I cut aluminium and Pom plastic . Spindle is HMB42d 24000 rpm with ceramic bearings.

They were great while they worked. The only thing was they were a little noisy. Sounds like a vacuum running. But for the price you can’t expect them to run forever.

The main problem probably was that the motor can’t handle the er25 collet. The larger tooling is just too hard on the motor.

I see you even had the better model, the one with the steel in front....they told me to get this type for aluminium
