    GX1000 spindle speed issues

    Hi guys, I'm running a Hardinge GX1000 with a Fanuc Oi-MC control. I'm having an issue where the machine starts its axis movements before reaching its programmed speed. So if I program an end mill at 12k, the machine will wait before moving, but it's not waiting long enough. So my tool will engage the part while the spindle is still ramping to its programmed RPM. It will usually wait until it gets to 60-70% of it's programmed RPM. Is there a speed check or some parameter that controls this? I have resorted to using dwells after commanding an RPM, which is fine, but not ideal. Sample program below;

    O0000(PEM FIXTURE PROTOTYPE)
    G00G17G20G40G49G80G90
    T13M06(1/8 END MILL)
    G91G30Z0.
    G5.1Q1R8(HSM ON)
    G00G90G54X3.725Y8.2622S11000M03
    G43H13Z2.
    G00G90Z.05
    G01Z-.063F10.
    G03Y8.2678I0.J.0028F20.
    ...
    ...
    ...

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: GX1000 spindle speed issues

    Can you place the S11000M3 right after the tool change. This might give it another second before it reaches the part.
