    Hardinge conquest t-42 size problems

    Hi,

Hope someone can help me.We have a conquest t-42 manufactured in around 1996.newer type machine.

It seems to have developed a fault where it will run fine for maybe a few hours and then will lose size on the x axis of about .05mm and the z axis will lose maybe .1mm on lengths. After a few more components it will return to normal again and could then run fine for a few hours or even a whole day.I have also had trouble when going back through a thread to deburr it as if its not picked up the same length again.Kinda double cutting the thread.

Only thing i can think is that the turret somehow is not seating right when it index's causing these problems. But problem is so intermitant it hard to get to the cause of the problem.

Would be gratefull for any help if anyone has has similar problems.

    Thanks
