ZW3D 2019 is on the way

    Hi guys,

ZW3D 2019 beta is ready. Lots of improvements in this new version.

    CAD PART

    1. Efficiency Promotion
The efficiency of picking, display, calculation, the response is highly improved. The benefit is obvious, particularly in complex shapes and large assembly. Below is a typical example done with Copy command. The result of copy has 4480 shapes and 98560 faces.

    3. 3D BOM
ZW3D 2019 enables users to easily manage assembly components’attribute on 3D assembly level.
    Support both components and shapes
    Manage attributes easily
    Customized BOM template
    Preset attributes value
    Exporting Excel with the template

OK on the way. Wow after many years you finally bit the bullet and added Volumill. Biggest advancement yet in ZW3D CAM since I knew VX/ZW so better very late than never. Remains to be seen how bug free your integration will be though. I just deleted a lot of things I had to say because this single thing is big enough to make you OK to use again for a machine shop. Quickmill was really long in the tooth and woefully inadequate. I see nothing for Lathe which was pretty incomplete last time I looked. What have you done there this time?

i started my business way back in the early days of VX. When ZW took over they made a lot of great improvements for designing but the CNC side but was still pretty bad. But affordable. The problem with the new release is if you want Volumill you pay full price for it. Unfortunately I stopped my upgrades because they ignored the CNC side for years. But still great for the surface modelling I do. But I just can't justify the upgrades to rely on it for CNC programming.
