    Trumpf Trumatic TC-240

    Dear CNCZone,

First off all, sorry to bother you with this question, but this forum is our last hope.
My father owns a Trumpf Trumatic TC240 as his main machine in his metal shop, last year, he had a servo pump problem, a third party service fixed that, no help from Trumpf at all.

I know, it is an old machine, yet, reliable and my father has been working with these since ages, literally.

He asked me to write this post, he speaks only Hungarian, which makes this troubleshooting even hard.
What he needs is the re-start protocoll.

He tried to describe me the problem :

During the reference point search after starting the machine, the little start does not show up on the screen.
In PRG mode the machine starts, but without that star, it can't hit.
The machine does not respond to OFFSET settings.

    Do you have any ideas?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Hi mate!

Thank you very much, interesting idea, def. will check it.
Should we check for a short, or for a continuity error (maybe a wire is loose or just simple freakin' old?)

    More info from my dad.
The machine actually moves but can't get the ' * ' on of the axises (don't know if it is X or Y, anyway).
    Without the ' * ', it can't punch down.

They've checked the "limit switch" (sorry if it is not the correct expression, this is the sensor / switch with stops the table when it reaches the end), that switch works for sure.

The '*' behind the position means that the axis is within the positioning window which is normally 0.010
Check out the drive unit, offset can be adjusted.

    Hi Behr,

Sorry about the delay, I'll mail you a picture from my father if you don't mind!
