Was wandering if anyone uses a fixture to set end working tools when replacing them.
I was thinking a magnetic base with a .250
rod screwed into it. Then an aluminum piece. Maybe 1.25 long .500 wide and .100 thick. Drill hole in plate so that it
Can slide up and down post. Drill hole in plate for set screw to tighten against post.
When replacing tool mount base with rod parallel to tool.
Loosen set screw and bring aluminum piece to tip of tool.
Tighten screw and rotate base so tool can be removed.
Install new tool and rotate fixture back then slide tip of tool to touch plate. Then hand tighten tool. Remove fixture and finishing tightening tool.
Anyone do anything familiar to this or is their another way?
