Mach3 Help (please) Z clearance plane warning

    Hi All,

    Desperate for some help...

We have a simple Cobra router that we use to cut foam for boxes. We only cut 2 thicknesses of foam and have not any limit switches fitted. To set the Z height before we machine a foam we have a touch plate. I've designed a part in Fusion360 and used the G code from the CAM function. All worked fine, we then tried to go back to our foam cutting and now the Z probe doesnt work and we get an error message that the Z clearance plane is above the Z axis home switch. I've checked in the soft limits and they are set to 999 so I don't see what the problem is.

I think the issue is that the fusion file added a line G43 which I believe is a tool length.

Can anybody help me to clear this please??? Ive checked in the tool library and they are all set to Zero.

    Thanks

    Mike

    That's a message from the 2010 Screenset.
When you first start the machine, jog the Z axis to the top of it's travel, and click the Home Z button.

That will set your Z axis home position to the top of the Z axis.
The macro is trying to prevent the Z axis from crashing into the top of it's travel.
