Fanuc T21i, Wear Offset affects Absolute readout, can I change this?

Our Milltronics SL5000 has a Fanuc21i control, after tools are probed and geometry set I then use the Wear offset to adjust dia. of parts, if I get correct sizing at x-0.002 and the program calls for a 5.000 dia. the absolute readout on the screen will show 4.998, I hate this!!! Is there a parameter that will prevent this? I run 4 other CNC lathes in the shop and this is the only one that behaves this way.

Yes there is parameter for this, I dont have the book in front of me but I have changed it in the past, like you I hate that, I want to see the programed number not the offset, if you got a parameter book, its in there, might be in the crt section

Thanks positive, I'll look in the book again, but if you can find a parameter number that would be great.

Take a look at parameter # 3104 bit 6 (DAL) should be set to 1 this is for the absolute position, let me know if that is what your looking for.

Thanks, I won't be running the machine myself for awhile, but I'll check it soon as I can.

Ok, I finally got to run the machine again, I was wrong about the control, it has a 0i-TD control, I'm used to running a 21i on a Puma 400, anyway I looked up the #3104 parameter and the DAL was set to 1 but it was not in the 6th position. I'm attaching a pic I took.

Hi, Chances are if they have a manual, it is in an electronic format. all 4003700 books of the Fanuc control and one can never know where in that "stack" of books to check. :-(
It takes a Fanuc (guru) to know what parameter is what. OK someone real familiar with FANUC. and which bit to turn on / off.
If only they ( Fanuc) would make it easy for us "mere mortals"

But there are a whole lot of Manufactures that use the Fanuc and a lot of them "hide" the parameters.

Hence the "guru / real familiar guy / gal.

See attachment and look at page 643, this is Fanuc Oi MC but should be the same for what your looking for
