    Ballscrew assembly

    Hi,

I'm trying to assemble supports of 2010 ballscrews. I succeeded one but two of fixed side support (BK15) are very difficult to push. Do you have any recommendations ?

The reason why difficult to install are because the BK support not correct or the machined ball screw end in larger tolerance?
If just because the tolerance is little bigger, you can try to polish the ball screw by sandpaper in a bit.
Generally the tolerance will not bigger too much so just need polish a little is OK
Meanwhile after polished if still in little bigger, you can use a small hammer to hit it carefully.

I would polish or sand the shaft until it is a light press fit. Keep in mind that someday you may want or need to take it apart again. If it is a heavy press fit that will be difficult.

Cold and heat are your friends for tight fits with metals!

Recommend not polish to much, during the working the backlash will became more and more loose,if in heavy press can keep the suitable accuracy for longer working time.

    Thanks everyone!
Finally I attached the ballscrew and gently hit with a hammer the inner race of the bearing to just have enough thread to be able to screw the lock nut and push the bearing in place.
This worked great but I think cold and heat is a better method.
