    HY 110VAC 2.2kw VFD with Break circuit for water cooled Spindle

    Can anyone help me with the VFD settings for an Electronic Brake?
    I have built two CNC routers, both have the same HY VFD Spindles, but one has a 220VAC inverter the other has a 110VAC inverter. Both have the Brake circuit's installed!
    For some unknown reason, the settings in the 220VAC inverter will not work on the 110VAC router!

    I have searched the web for months, looking for the Brake settings but nothing turns up!

    So does anyone on the Zone have a VFD spindle with an electronic Brake?

    What settings are not working?

    Do you have a braking resistor installed?

    I was under the impression that none of the Huanyang inverters contain the circuitry for the braking resistor. Mine doesn't.

    Hi Gerry!
    Yes, the HY Inverter was ordered special on Amazon, and should include the brake circuitry as $50 extra!
    The brake resistor is also installed.

    I tried to duplicate the settings from my big router's VFD, but they don;t seem to work??
    The guy who helped me set it up a few years ago is no longer available to help!

    All i'm looking for is an accurate list of settings for the 110VAC inverter's brake system!

    If I change PD015 from 10 to 0.5, the brake starts for a second then the spindle coasts to a stop!
    Then the VFD displays error code "E.oU.d"

    OK!
    I think its under control now!

    I made two prints of the VFD manual's settings page, then wrote down all the settings in the Big router which works!
    Then I did the same thing for the small router, and compared the two!
    Only a couple of settings needed to be changed, and the brake works!

    PD015 - 10 -> 1.0 (Deceleration time)
    PD030 - 3 -> 1.0 (DC braking time at stop)

    I was just going to post that there are some parameters to use for the Braking Resistor use, glade you found what to do, sometimes it's better if the user can figure it out, then they my remember to write all there Parameters down and what each one is doing for next time, you have some main Parameters missing from your list but if it is running how you want it most likely they are set and are just not in your list
