    Work Coordinates verses Machine Coordinates?

I currently have a bench top machine running with Mach 3, and the machine doesn't have homing switches for setting my machine coordinates.

So with that in mind I am use to working with work coordinates for setting my home position on a corner of the work piece.

I'm in the process of making the move to a Haas Super Mini mill.... and I'm wondering if there is any major down side of continuing on with my normal process of using Work Coordinates verses machine coordinates since I'm use to that process?

    Thanks....

    Kent

I never bother with machine coords myself.

    Cheers
