Upgrading a Standard machine to Pro

So I am trying to sell my Standard CRP4896 you can see here, I want to upgrade to a CNCRouterparts Pro.

    https://www.cnczone.com/forums/cnc-r...21588-cnc.html

If it doesn't sell I am going to start working on doing an upgrade to linear rail and Pro drive modules.

I notice while looking thru the PRO assembly directions that is uses 20mm linear rail on the long Y-axis.

Wouldn't 15MM rail be enough? Or is there something I don't understand that needs the 20mm on the PRO.

My guess is that the15mm are too small to lay over the slot in the extrusion. And they can be tricky to work with, because they use small 4mm bolts.

The cost to go with 20mm is not very much, and they are much easier to work with. The bearing blocks on 20mm rails are about twice the size of 15mm blocks.

Ger21, I didn't even think of the bolt size. Hiwin EG 15mm rail mounts with M3! Even the hiwin HG mounts with only M4.

So next question hiwin EG or HG?
