We have a FANUC 0i-MF but it works also on the 0i-MD, maybe also on the 0i-MC, not the 0-Model C or 0-Model D.
    What control do you have.

    Thank you !
What is the maximum size of the program can be used?
I have this program, but there is no manual how to use it.

    Hi,

    According FANUC 2GB, see attachment.
We run some programs up to 3MB without problems.
If you have the 0i-series I can make a BIN-file for you that you can try on a CF-Card.
On our 21i-MB and 18i-TB it doesn't work.
You didn't tell me what control you have.

    Regards,
    Heavy_Metal.

    Hi,

Ok, the 0i-MD will work, the 0i-MC you have to try.
When you have 400 program limit as standard on your control the max on the card will be 63 folders or files.
The option 500 or 1000 folders or files in the card-program is an extra ( paid ) option, on Card side and control side.
You need nc-files without extension, just like the M198 (CF-Card) option.

    Regards,
    Heavy_Metal.

Our main problem is editing cutting modes (feed and speed) in large programs. It is possible to do with FANUCPRG ?

    Hi,

Yes, thats possible, you can edit and change the code on control-side.
After that you can drag and drop your new program back to pc via card-tool and save it on HD.

For more info on this item you can also look on this Doosan forum :

Re: Fanuc Compact flash pc editing tool for large programs

Hi guys, Heavy_Metal solved this issue for me a while back. Turns out my CD copy of the pc editing tool was bugged. I can now drag files back off of the card and onto wherever I choose.
    Thanks again

    Hey cnczone77,

You need at least a Fanuc 0i-D series or a Fanuc 30i-32i series to run these BIN-files which are created by the program.
Check the FANUC forum for more info: https://www.cnczone.com/forums/fanuc/412886-cnc.html

    When you have a 0i-D Series you need the A02B-0319-R642 ( 0i-TD - Lathe ) or A02B-0320-R642 ( 0i-MD - Mill ) to run these BIN-files.
Activation of that R642 option is around €700,- / $850,- (USD) but you always can try a BIN-file before you want to buy the program.

Program costs only €20,- in Europe, that's $24,- (USD), exclusive shipping, so pretty cheap

Check the Fanuc Europe channel or search on YouTube for: [ How to expand CNC memory quickly? ], the Program is really cheap.
When your control has the [ MEM-CARD ] and [ MEMORY-CARD ] soft-keys you can use the program.

Re: Fanuc Compact flash pc editing tool for large programs

    Hey guys,

What did you do to fix the "There is insufficient disk space" problem when trying to drag a file to desktop? I've tried multiple editing software disks that each came with our lathes and get the same error on all. Any insight would be much appreciated!

Re: Fanuc Compact flash pc editing tool for large programs

Do you run the edit program-tool straight from the software disk ?
Be sure you run the FANUCPRG.exe file from Harddisk or USB-stick to drag files back to PC.
Put the small software in a folder or an a stick and make a shortcut for it to your desktop.

    Regards.

That's exactly what it was. I copied the .exe file onto the pc and now it works like a charm. Thanks very much Heavy_Metal!

    Hi,
I can make a BIN-file for you with the programs you want to test, main and sub, you can make a simple one just for a few tools.
    Your control needs the [ MEM-CARD ] and [ MEMORY-CARD ] soft-keys to run that BIN-file on the CF-Card.

    regards.
