Tooling help for haas st10 lathe

We just bought a Haas st10 lathe and are having lots of trouble figuring out the tooling for it . we have the bot turret and still cant figure out how to mount the cutoff tool . any examples and pictures of your setup would be very helpful .

I have a Hardinge, but the Haas bot turret looks to be the about same. I have my parting tool mounted in a tool holder just like the the other turning tools.

Look in the upper left corner of the image.

Here is a Haas video showing the parting tool in use

The center of the turret is the center of the spindle, so your cutting edge should be directed there. Assuming you have a right-hand cutting partoff tool, it should be "upside down" in the turret like the picture above.

Thanks for the help, we are just starting to get this figured out . we went from a tl1 to an fully loaded st10 so it has a bit of a learning curve .Jim in your picture you have a tool block that holds the cutter a few inches away from the fave of the turret . what is that for ? where does everyone get their tool blocks and wedges at ? does not seem to be many choices besides haas for the St-10 .

The reason for the extended tool holders is that my machine has live tooling and that sticks out about 4 inches from the turret face. You can see one of the live tool holders just above the tool holder in the foreground.

Mine are all Hardinge and came with the machine. I have one aftermarket tool holder and it doesn't fit well. Haas might be your best option, not sure where to buy them aftermarket.
