    Hsm ?

For HSM, which is more important, cutting speed or spindle rpm? Specifically, if I use a very large-diameter cutter, I will have high cutting speed but low spindle rpm. Can this be regarded as HSM?

cutting speeds are usually given by the tooling supplier for different groups of metals. These variables are used in the formula to calculate RPM. Short version. (CS x 4)/diameter.

High speed cutting machines are usually supper fast and larger the size the speed will be reduced, smaller the size, the rpm will be much higher. This is as per my understanding from krogerfeedback.com and if its wrong, do share your comment on this.
