Trying to refill sump on CNC Machine

    Hello all,

I have become responsible for refilling a small cutting fluid reservoir for a CNC machine at my shop. Ideally, i'd like to empty it and refill it with fresh fluid, but I don't know what I should use. I have access to a drum of #2 Vactra Oil and can get anything else i'd need, but I'm not sure where to start. The person who last filled the machine is not available to ask what he used.
    Thanks in advance!

    Jesse

P.S.: Any tips on the proper disposal of whatever fungus covered mess is in the tank currently would be appreciated.

If no drain fitted, it is customary to use a gear pump,
For disposal, if in N.A. there is recycle depot to take it to at no charge.

#2 Vactra is way lubricating oil, not cutting fluid.

You would use a water soluble cutting oil / coolant at a 7 to 10% mix strength. Follow the mixing instructions on the container.

I have no idea what to do with the stuff you drain, ask the boss.
