Is the write wizard crippled in Demo?
Most of what I'm seeing saying it works fine in demo is 10+ yrs old
When I change a value, it reverts back to default when I hit enter or use the mouse to
go to a new field.

No, it works fine in demo mode.

However, it is VERY particular, in that you must fill in or select every required option, or it won't work. And, it won't tell you what you are missing.
