CNC-1310 Machine Z-Axis keeps going Upwards not into material!

I use inkscape to make simple shape for engraving, makercam to generate GCode for the same, when sent thru grblControl 0.8.4 to CNC-1310 C Machine, it starts engraving normally, on second pass of engrave, the z-axis is moving upwards

not downwards through the material, no engraving!

    Many thanks

Which way is the z axis motion going?

    Is it positive or negative?

    G1 Zxxx or G1 Z-xxx

The normal way is downwards is negative motion (think XYZ plane, Z- is down)

If the Z-axis gcode is negative, your machine is setup wrong, and you need to change the axis direction within grbl.

If the Z-axis gcode is positive, your post processor is setup wrong and you need to change your post processor settings.

    Learn to read the gcode
