THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO DO WITH MY ESPRIT AND POST PROCESSOR. IT IS A STORE BOUGHT POST FROM ESPRIT SO I AM UNABLE TO EDIT. I KNOW WE GENERATED A COUPLE OF CODES OURSELVES TO USE IN PLACE OF OTHERS BUT THOSE REQUIRED HAND EDITS.


THE SIZE AND DETAIL OF THE PROGRAMS WE ARE GENERATING MAKES HAND-EDITING A SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM OR RISK.

MY QUESTION IS WHERE TO ACCESS OKUMA'S M CODE PROGRAMS. I WANT TO FIRE AN M8 ANY TIME THAT I USE M51 AND I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO REWRITE THE G84 CYCLE TO WORK AS G283 (WITH THE Q VALUE ALREADY ASSIGNED WITHIN THE GCODE IF POSSIBLE.

i REALIZE I AM ASKING A LOT, BUT IN ORDER TO STANDARDIZE OUR OUTPUTS WE HAVE TO ELIMINATE HAND EDITS. ANY THOUGHTS?

You'd be wise to get your post fixed so that you can get perfect output from it every time. Why bother with working around it every time when it could just come out flawlessly? The time it would save should pay for the post modification.

The Okuma M-codes are not editable like you want.
