if a machine is rated at max cutting depth of 5mm, is that in a single pass? can you make multiple passes to cut deeper?

i cut acrylic up to 1/4” and trying to find the correct wattage to use. thanks.

I have a 60 watt and a 130 watt laser and cut a lot of 1/4 acrylic first thing is use cast acrylic as it cuts easier and better. I can cut 3 times faster with the 130 watt so you will want the highest power you can get
