    2 Stepper Motors question

Hi everyone, i am new here and from Germany...
    Sorry for my bad english...

I need help for a project

i need two step motors like Nema17 or Nema23 to turn 2 pieces of wire into the same direction

Since this is in no way close to my job i tried to read a lot but have only found confusing stuff for a newbie

    1. What would be the easiest and cheapest way of controling the two motors?
    2. Would it be possible to have them turn like 1000 rpm?
    3. Would they really turn at the same time and speed?

I'm not sure what would be cheapest, but usually the cheapest solution isn't the easiest. What you need are a couple of stepper drivers, a power supply sufficient for your motors, a computer with a parallel port (or a motion control adapter to replace it) and a program that would interpret the software commands you gave it and output pulses to the motors.

1000 rpm is possible with steppers, but it's at the top end of their range, so look for motors with low induction - you don't need a lot of torque for this.

They would turn at the same time and speed if instructed correctly - stepper motors are pretty good at that.

    A cheap PLC might work.

    This may work: https://www.automationtechnologiesin...le-controller/

You will still need the motor, drive and power supply, but it should replace the computer

    Re: 2 Stepper Motors question

Have a bit of a dig around in here and possibly on youtube. There was a guy doing something very similar for (IIRC) winding bowstrings. He ended up finding someone to write the code for an Arduino which then controlled a couple of stepper drivers which in turn drove the stepper motors. Worked out pretty well.
