    Rust in water jet tank

I am new to water jets and this forum. I just installed a used Flow water jet and was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a chemical to use in the tank to help slow down the rust forming on my slats?

Use stainless slats.....you could use a algicide for the mosquitoes but rust my friend is going to happen and not much you can do to slow it down...

My suggestion would be to attach an aluminum/zinc block onto your slats, thus forming a galvanic effect, making aluminum/zinc to be oxidized instead of iron slats. They do it on steel ships and submarines.

Another way would be getting a little oil in the pool, forming a thin oil film on top of water thus preventing oxygen being dissolved into water. Well, this might be nasty as oil would splash everywhere.

The galvanic effect would be worth a try.
